The US$5 billion facility would be cheaper, bigger and faster to build than a similar one proposed by European scientists.

    I want us to build a massive collider in New Mexico. There’s a bunch of land around Black Mesa that could probably house a massive underground collider. The US needs a big one!

    Frankly I’m surprised they haven’t already. Colliders absolutely shit out discoveries whenever you open a new more powerful ring. Happened with Fermilab and the LHC.

    I hope this makes the US revisit the concept of building something like the SSC. Competition in science is awesome.
