These last few months, each picture of Elon looks like another transition snapshot of Smeagol turning into Gollum.

It’s a common tactic of news outlets to choose bad pictures of people they’re against and good pictures of people they’re for. Once you see it, it cannot be unseen.

Recent JD Vance interview went something like this:

Lulu Garcia-Navarro: “Senator, yes or no: Did Donald Trump lose the 2020 election?”

JD Vance: “Let me ask you a question. Is it OK that big technology companies censored the Hunter Biden laptop story, which independent analysts have said cost Trump millions of votes?”

Lulu Garcia-Navarro: “Senator Vance, I’m going to ask you again, did Donald Trump lose the 2020 election?”

JD Vance: “Did big technology companies censor a story that independent studies have suggested cost Trump millions of votes? I think that’s the question.”

    🤔

This always cracks me up. He’s mad about big tech censoring political information, but wants HIS political information censored. Probably not even bright enough to realize how pathetic he sounds.

It’s unbelievable how nearly half of America wants this guy to be their next VP.

They should have just ended the interview there, aired that bit and then said "since Vance refuses to answer questions honestly and keeps using weasel words and counter questions there is no honest conversation to be had. JD Vance ducks couches and puts his cast iron skillet in the dishwasher… He is a monster.

That was an excruciating interview to listen to. He started off kinda sounding sane, but as time went on, more of his fringe ideas started showing, culminating to that point.

I’ve been job hunting for 3 months. Hardly any recruiters are reaching out, and my applications go nowhere. A recruiter from xAI reached out the other day, and I couldn’t bring myself to even apply. I told them I wasn’t interested without specifying why, but it’s Elon.

That recruiter might work somewhere less shit in the future, so I’d rather not burn a bridge unnecessarily.

Just be honest with the recruiter that the particular employer is the issue, but you would be open to discussing other opportunities. That doesn’t burn bridges, and it helps them better determine what you’re looking for.

Exactly. And if he nods his head silently, you understood each other. If he starts asking “but why, Elon is great!”, burn the bridge.

You don’t wanna stumble upon him in the future when he’s gonna be recruiting for another Elon. 😉

Why don’t we just let Twitter/X die? It’s not like it’s an essential platform, there are other places to post short-form bullshit opinions. Twitter/X is not the sole supplier of any resources except their own brand name. Just walk away and let it burn. Without massive public engagement, it’s just a more expensive to run Truth Social.

You misheard, they said “beacon of Fire Speech”. They burn books in that gathering of failed, divorced, didn’t even peak in high school but still peaked in high school chuds.

Not saying this is the right thing to do. But it does seem like social media consistently suppresses the spread of “hacked” (whatever their definition of hacked might be) material related to political candidates, regardless of party. The same thing happened with the Hunter Biden laptop stuff, which was pretty much impossible to spread on social media. Although Elon Musk is obviously all in on trying to help Donald Trump win, the decision to suppress this information is not surprising. Meta is also suppressing the links.
