Summary

Judge Aileen Cannon has allowed the DOJ to release Volume One of Jack Smith’s report on Trump’s alleged election interference but delayed a decision on releasing Volume Two, related to classified documents, to Congress.

The DOJ had faced opposition from Trump’s former co-defendants, Nauta and De Oliveira, who argued it could harm ongoing cases.

Cannon, who previously dismissed Trump’s classified documents case, noted that releasing Volume One does not impact the defendants’ legal rights.

Arizona AG Kris Mayes requested Smith’s case file to support related prosecutions.

So…just like the Mueller report, Trump’s crimes will be documented in detail within, and absolutely nothing will be done to deliver justice for those crimes. Great.

Yeah, but now you’ll know what he did! And what he got away with.

It’s like bragging. People go to jail forever for some of this kind of shit, and he’s just gonna waltz on into the White House again. Hell, people go to jail forever for less.

      One tier justice system. Sure.

This is the problem with doctrine such as Obama’s “we don’t look backward, we look forward.” Sometimes you actually have to confront history in order to learn from it and not be doomed to repeat it.

In modern times we should have charged Regean for treason with Iran-Contra. North fell on the sword but the people should have demanded the President’s head.

Nixon should have been arrested for watergate. Clinton should have been arrest for lying about Monica and Bush for Iraq invasion.

We should have an international board for our war crimes but the dollar is a strong tool. Even Obama should answer for the murder in Pakistan.

The Iran-contra thing is pretty relevant now especially. Republicans working with a foreign government to sabotage diplomatic hostage negotiations in order to change the outcome of the next election in their favor…pretty despicable, and a tactic they clearly haven’t moved far beyond.

Good point about the Dems too. Extrajudicial killings of American citizens isn’t very well grounded in rule of law and justice, same can be said of Biden subverting the ICC to provide cover for the Israeli war crimes. Sadly it’s all lead to a very dark place for the world.

Like this even matters anymore. They’ve already demonstrated that Trump can do whatever the fuck he wants with no repercussions. The deck is stacked in his favor, and no matter what that report contains, no one is going to do shit about it. This is where we are, now.

It matters for history. This moment in history will likely be seen in hindsight as pivotal (edit: in the US, I mean , at least /edit) and all the public, widely distributed media possible to document it will help ensure future generations have a chance to get a better look at the attempts to hold the Teflon one accountable.
