Summary

The FBI and DHS issued a warning about potential copycat or retaliatory vehicle-ramming attacks following the deadly New Year’s Day incident in New Orleans.

Shamsud-Din Jabbar, a US veteran reportedly radicalized by extremist ideologies, killed over a dozen people using a rented truck before being fatally shot by police.

Authorities highlighted the low-skill requirement and accessibility of vehicles as factors making such attacks appealing.

Notably, damaged barriers in key New Orleans locations contributed to the attack’s impact.

Bombings take a touch higher skill level and I think the warning there is any jackass could repeat a vehicle ramming, for the most part.

Filling the back of a truck with bins of gasoline and fireworks doesn’t exactly require “higher skill level”, just a few hundred dollars more capital… the media response and now government response when comparing both perp’s end goal and race is the rather glaring part.

Fireworks and gasoline aren’t hard to come by.

I hear there’s a want to be dictator about to take power… Certainly hope no one drives a vbied in the crowd during the speech to create a diversion for a more targeted attack.

Oh well. T’s&P’s in advance. That should keep everyone safe

It’s kind of more amazing it doesn’t come up more often being such an accessible avenue of attack in comparison to your usual fare of guns and bombs.
