Ah yeah I got ya. Thinking about it, having AppImage manager (and one that keeps things updated) would be pretty nice.
I actually have Autonomix b ikmarked to try, it promises to do similar. I currently use deb-get for deb package management but I winter something less tied to deb

yeah and that is the thing with appman. its great but it itself is not an appimage. I honestly still have not tried this thing yet.
