minus-square@Anonymousllama@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglish62•1 year agoI get there’s a heap of people on here who’ve somehow never seen these new anti-popup measures before, but they’re definitely becoming more prevalent. I switched to uBlock and purged the caches and it seems to have fixed the issue (for now anyway) At some point I’ll have to find a more permanent solution like switching browsers but right now things are working
minus-square@LordKitsuna@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglish23•1 year agoa more permanent solution would be using an alternative front end like piped. there are a lot of public instances available
minus-squareYinchielinkfedilinkEnglish15•1 year agoUse clients such as LibreTube. It works great and even allows skipping sponsored content.
minus-squareSnausagesinaBlanketlinkfedilinkEnglish10•edit-21 year ago purged the caches Do this daily.
minus-square@yata@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkEnglish1•1 year agoI only had to do it once. Haven’t seen the pop up since.
minus-square@jet@hackertalks.comlinkfedilinkEnglish9•1 year agonever seen the youtube anti-adblock stuff. Mullvad vpn + mullvad browser + ublock origin + never logging into google… Also freetube, also newpipe… Maybe they don’t bother trying to block vpn users?

minus-square@Nihilore@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglish3•1 year agoIf you have a VPN just set your location to a place they don’t run ads
minus-square@yata@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkEnglish2•1 year agoI saw them, then I purged ublocks cache and updated and they have been gone ever since (also on firefox, because I switched as soon as I read the news that they would pull this stunt on all chromium browsers a year ago).
