Honestly I like it. See no reason to use any other storefront like droidify or whatever.
I’m a Droid-ify user. I just downloaded F-Droid 2 and one feature Droid-ify has that’s missing in F-Droid is the builtin repo list. Besides that, great update so far.
Search has also been significantly improved. In addition to app names, it can now search app descriptions,

It didn’t. The search was basic.
One feature that has not yet returned is the ability to remove and wipe apps as a response to a panic trigger app like Ripple. We recognize that some users rely on this functionality for privacy and personal safety reasons and understand it is more than a usability feature. However, it requires highly specialized work to maintain, and given the small user base, we felt it should no longer block so many other important improvements.

What is the usecase for this?
If you are being mugged or phone is stolen, deleting specific apps won’t do much.
A government agency looks at parsed stored data, not currently installed apps.
Handing your phone over at a border, they also use data tools, not look at installed app names or something.
The apps still exist on your disk, an extraction tool like Cellebrite can grab them AFAIK.
I am struggling to think of a place where this is genuinely useful as opposed to a restart or Graphene duress code. If they are already in your phone, deleting apps won’t do much.
A vulnerable person trying to get out of an abusive relationship.
Wouldn’t just using a work profile be better? Then just log into the work profile with the apps you need hidden and only show the abusive partner the standard user profile?
(I haven’t researched it, but it seems like that would be much more effective)
A young LGBTQ person with strict religious parents.
A person getting treatment for addiction.
Sounds like a security nightmare to maintain, though.
