Okay, I really am confused here because other reports claim that’s a 1607 map (and it does not look like a 19th century map), but as I said in another community, that is problematic in terms of the claim that most of North America was considered Mexico.
She seems to be correct that the Gulf of Mexico was called that in 1607, but I really want to source that map.
