He got convicted. Just not given a prison sentence
And he can’t pardon State crimes. Tax fraud is serious. And there is no where to escalate this to. He has no control over the courts in ny
He only wasn’t sent to jaildue to the possibility it would be considered election interference.
And, I’m not sure he can’t even appeal it
Doesn’t matter. Remember how stressed he appeared during the last lawsuits.
Make the prick stress the fuck out so he can’t sleep at night
Why do you think he ran for presidency again… He was convicted. Legally, he can’t argue he’s running for a 3rd term, so the judge can’t make the same. The only thing the judge did was say he’d postpone sentencing…
During his presidency…
And he can’t pardon state crimes
God knows how many more state crimes have been queued up since then…
He doesn’t care about that. Because he’s going to jail after regardless. So whilst he may be president, he’s fucked suffer way
Third term has nothing to do with being a grift for money or whatever. He’s using that as a tool for power
It’s simple. He’s going to jail when he’s done being president. And he’s pissed off so many people he’s definitely getting shanked
He cannot pardon himself for state crimes
The entire point of running a 3rd term is to stay out of jail
Yeah. That’s fair
I meant genuine remorse. And yeah, I don’t see that happening lol
It’s definitely not too late to reverse the damage
If he genuinely apologized to people, denounced Trump, and started acting normal, I believe it would be ok to buy a Tesla again. He’d also need to start moderating X properly and stop allowing assholes to pollute it with nazi like propaganda
However, as it stands, he’s basically shat on the people who buy his products and supported the ones who scaremongering against EVs.
Only if Dutton wins. Fuck that guy
You mean the guy who called the cave diver a pedo before all this?
And who brought “freedom” to twitter?
And now he’s running enforcement on trumps plan to turn the us into a dictatorship.
I don’t wish death on him (I don’t think he deserves that) but my not liking him happened before the Nazi solute.
Even if you took the Nazi solute out, it’s fairly clear he’s not a good person and that Tesla is possibly just a way for him to get rich and get attention these days. He might have cared originally, but I feel any illusion of caring is gone, and he is basically Trump 2.
He’d happily remove all workers rights if he was in power, and to get back at his ex wives, possibly eliminate women’s rights
They DO though. They sell the default search engine to Google for billions knowing they’re profiting from the ads indirectly… So, they’re really just subcontracting it…
I was implying the fact that Apple doesn’t need to though, because they monopolise things via the app store, and with other foul play (like requiring additional intervention if you want to run an app from outside the store on Mac). They have full control over monitoring what apps and what kind of apps are popular, so they can target them with their own competitors.
They also have some fairly hefty requirements from developers, and even try to get a cut of subscription fees despite doing nothing.
In the case of Pebble as an example, they delayed the pebble app, launched their own watch at the same time, and because they fucked Pebble over, they never stood a chance.
Just to further things, Republicans have a clear bias. When the head of google was in congress, they weren’t really asking questions, but they were incorrectly stating things like Google was tracking their phone anywhere it moves
And yet, Apple seems to dodge every single case. They don’t even allow IOS to run on other platforms. Whereas, there are Android phones which are completely degooglified.
And yet, as per normal, Apple is innocent… apparently
No surprise from a guy who was convicted of tax fraud.
I’m sure he’s gonna start blaming it for his tax issues soon
Haven’t you heard though?
Both parties are the same apparently
Also “hunter bidens laptop” /s
It’s literally 1 party which isn’t following any laws and getting in shit fights with literally, vs a party where Israel is the only bad thing that can be said about it…
It’s like that black mirror episode with Waldo.
I thought Trump already axed that?
Except doesn’t this replace their old tool? So, its not really fragmenting anything if its replacing an existing project.
Fragmentation isn’t great, but it can be beneficial in some cases too. I’ve contributed to a number of projects.
Over the last 20-30 years, I’ve seen plenty of projects fail, and new ones take over.
If you take a look at arts/eaudio and the other sound servers of 20 years ago. All failed, because Pulseaudio consolidated and killed them eventually. Now, Pulseaudio is on its way to getting killed by Pipewire. And one could argue its a waste of resources… but, the changeover is actually super awesome (for JACK)
One other good example of the fragmentation argument was Xfree86. Lots of people argued against Xorg at the time, and ultimately, Xfree86 died ages ago. If you asked me 20 years ago, I would have said KDE was dead, but now Gnome and KDE and carved out VERY different products, that suit very different people. Both are awesome in their own way
Everyone was freaking out when devFS got deprecated. But, udev was an amazing replacement
Linux is evolving FAR quicker than Windows or MAC (mac OS has barely changed in a decade). And, many ideas introduced in linux are stolen by Windows and Apple.
At the end of the day though, sometimes a rewrite is needed of things. What really matters is that it doesn’t fragment the desktop experience (and, it won’t in this case)
Rather than downvoting. This is a good teachable moment
I used to think this way, that it was about efficiency exclusively
But the reality is, any contribution is better than none, and a lot of these things implemented you don’t really understand how important they are until a while later often
One consideration also is that Germany is apparently considering to continue their Linux migration, so things like this may also be based on feedback from admins
Suse has definitely carved their own niche as a Linux distro and it’s actually sad they’re not more successful because a lot of their tools are pretty cool
You’re not even joking
It’s the same internationally
There are also some Right wing people on construction sites here in Australia who can never accept responsibility. And it’s always right wing
