I spent years trying to convince people to vote. Not just presidential elections, the yearly local shit too. It’s become one of the big things I’ve been doing a lot.

When I had people I respected proudly tell me they didn’t vote either way, I lost hope for this damn country that if one this fucking important couldn’t get them to bother, nothing will.

I can’t blame people for leaving after that, I’m not sure I have the energy in me to keep beating the drum if I’m completely surrounded by people who are in far more danger than I am giving far less shits than I do.

I remember a post where people were asking millennials what their retirement plans were.

Vast majority of it was either suicide or hoping work would let them clock out before they dropped dead.

Surely it was a glitch that set the Teslas on fire themselves and no one was involved.

Dunno, a non-rebreather mask would would work as it doesn’t let you inhale the exhaled air. So a 100% nitrogen flow through it would be on the more painless methods.

Any attempts to simplify taxes has been fought to keep companies like TurboTax and H&R Block profitable, while every chance the Republicans decry any taxes whatsoever so keeps the min wage people against taxes.

But the thing is IRS defunding typically goes after the sections of the IRS that investigates tax fraud from the billionaires and businesses that try to wiggle out after all the tax cuts they’ve worked through, they’ve managed to demonize a portion of the government that’s supposed to be funding the government and goes after the wealthy that don’t pay their fair share.

Greatest thing of moving out of its hometown is actually having choices.

I’ve been outcyring that Walmart has been the one of the major architects of the downfall of the working class my entire life.

But people who have choices just respond it’s cheaper…

Guess what buttercup? You want “action now!” I was trying to drum up action when all that was needed was standing in line for maybe a couple hours and putting your vote in and half these leftists going “We gotta do something!” couldn’t be faffed to show up at that line in the sand.

And before “But Biden” or “But Harris”, my beating the drum to vote is for your local shit every day where you have FAR MORE control than the DNC but statistics show you probably weren’t even aware when these were.

So no… I’m not rallying to y’alls cries because you’ve proven you’ll be fair weather allies at best and probably stay home expecting someone else to save your asses. And when the fire gets tough, those that I know who stayed home can’t expect me to lift a finger to help them either because I’ll be busy helping those that at least could do the bare fucking minimum to try to course correct instead of just acting smug.

Our society is about to get what it deserves. I feel bad for the 1/3 that did show up and tried. The rest can go to hell for all I care.

Seeing one in real life… my biggest complaint (on looks) is my complaint with all trucks in the US market, it’s too fucking big. If it was the size of a 90s Ranger, I’d love the looks. And admittedly two days ago I saw one that hit exactly all the buttons of the “I like that” looks, and it was done in the wrap with UNSC logos and looked like a Halo Warthog.

I’ve been on the edge before, called the police on myself and it caught me interesting that my movement he did reach for a weapon when I went to hand over the knife, so I should feel empathy. I feel empathy for the officer who was in a damned if you do damned if you don’t situation, but…

I don’t know. I’m out. This is a person who 1: Willingly joined in a coup to attempt to overthrow an election to 3: AFTER getting pardoned, get pulled over with a suspended license enough times for it to be a felony (I don’t know about y’all, but it’s kinda rare for me to get pulled over. And the times I have… I’ll 100% admit I was way over, generally because I’ve missed the speed sign) 4: His FIRST interaction with an officer is how he was a Jan 6 pardon like it’s a get out of jail free card. This shows he has zero actual fucking remorse for what he did and instead hoping the cop is on his side. 5: Go to his car and reach for a gun.

This is a man who has shown an actual pattern of not caring about anyone’s safety but himself. His upset moment is when he’s affected, but anyone else, damn them.

It’s why I can’t blame the cop in this one. This was a man in an unpredictable scenario who has shown these very things in decisions. Man could have easily said “I’m shooting myself” and instead shoot the cop. In EMS I’ve worked alongside too many cops, and I’ve talked to some who’s had to shoot, most of them it bothers them. It should, honestly I’d question the ones that take a life and aren’t haunted by it. This cop just dealt with a man reaching for a gun and the last thing he heard from the man is telling him he’d end his own life and the cop did it for him. So I can’t help but to think that this is a Jan 6er who’s managed to fuck up yet another life.
