It’s not super easy, but you can install it on tizen tvs by enabling developer mode. I was able to follow this walk-through to get it on a new TV for my relatives.

Since their TV was newer, I had to do extra steps to create a custom certificate.
The whole process took a while, but it’s doable.
I have play protect disabled. It gets annoying that it randomly asks to re-enable every so often, so I created a Tasker automation to dismiss that popup of it detects it. Doesn’t always work, but it’s better than nothing. Super annoying that you can’t tell Google to stop asking already and no, I don’t want play protect.
I’m testing out grapheneos on another phone, which has all the Google stuff stripped out or sandboxed, so I don’t have to worry about it there.
So no, play protect hasn’t removed my KDE connect app, but it hasn’t been given the opportunity to try.
My wife has an iPhone, but I have an old iPad hooked to her account. I can see where all the air tags are, and locate them or activate the noise function. For traveling, there’s no real benefit to having an iPhone vs an iPad.
The main bonus that the newer IPhones have is the ability to locate them like a homing device. If you’re within 30 feet, it will actually tell you which direction and how far away it is. Like a compass, it points you towards the air tag, letting you get to within a foot or so to find it. For locating a lost item at home, it’s much easier to use the iPhone.
But for gps tracking, the basic Bluetooth check in network with apple devices gives you the location of all the devices, within a few meters or so.
I agree with this idea. But it would make it harder to pick up your phone blindly and know which end is the top. I instinctively feel for the usb port on the bottom so it’s oriented correctly by the time my arm swings it into view.
Agreed. FairEmail is my goto choice. They’re both open source and on F-Droid.
FairEmail does have a $9 license you can buy to add extra features, but even without the license, I found it to be a nicer app than K9.

Looks like the title is incorrect, and it’s actually posts per day. At least, the graph shows a few days where the number goes down, so it can’t be just the total number of posts (unless there was a wave of deletions outpacing the posts).
Edit: according to other people’s comments, it is actually total posts, not posts per day. So my above comment seems to be incorrect.
I’ve only personally used the tizen app a couple times, but my relatives have used it a bunch with no reported issues. I have not had to update it yet, but it’s only been a few months. Definitely not frequent updates. My jellyfin server has had one update since then, but even the server updates aren’t coming in on a weekly basis, so I don’t expect their client will break anytime soon.
