It’s really up to personal preference. If you’re happy with your Dualsense it’s perfectly fine and is a great controller

You CAN install OS X from a USB but I am not sure if it would bypass that restriction. When I restored my 2013 Mac, I had to install OS X Lion and keep updating it from there, but they may have fixed that issue
I’d love for it to use the body of the XR, or even the 8 Plus I think that would be really cool
But don’t they increase the price every year
