I use Krita almost exclusively, but gimp is a lot more usable with photogimp.
The whole Tome of Beasts series is pretty great, including the Creature Codex. Some of them are a bit too “out there” for me to use in my particular game, but I’d rather have that than another reskinned goblin.
At the moment, I’m guessing gif support depends on the individual client app, probably? On Connect it shows up as a link, which opens the gif rather than it being embedded.

Whatever the number, I’ve definitely noticed in the past few days that there are getting to be enough people having conversations and posting content for this place to feel like a legit community instead of a ghost town. I’m really glad to see more people joining and taking part.

Keeping my account mostly so that I can reply or ask questions in threads about specific problems that come up in search results.
For my day to day scrolling through, I think I’m sticking with Lemmy. Once Boost stops working I won’t have any real reason to scroll recreationally anymore. And despite the growing pains, I’m becoming more and more curious how this platform will evolve, and interested in being here for it.
It makes the X go faster, everyone knows that.
