The USA is a failing country right now. It won’t be coming back from this without intervention.

Protests will not fix the problem because the people in charge don’t care about the laws. They’re on course to start rounding up people they don’t like and shipping them off to black sites. They’re already talking about arresting democrats.

The USA is currently fucked and unless you can ramp up your actions against the current regime, it’s lost.

You’re going to “organize and resist” while the USA quietly slips into an authoritative regime.

That’s kind of the point of the trial. Of course I don’t trust he’ll be given a fair one. The USA isn’t really keen on that when they really want to punish someone for something.

Ideally those who have the vaccine would be protected from the contagion that might come from the anti-vax next door.

I’m very worried for those who are Immunocompromised or those that can not get the vaccine for whatever reason. When the next plague comes, these are the people I will be supporting and trying to help.

I think what you fail to understand is many of us spent unlimited hours trying to explain vaccines, masks, washing hands, social distancing, etc to these people during covid and all it did was get them to double down on their anti-social behaviour. I even had a few spit at me.

How long do you personally choose to argue with a flat earther?

The evidence is there. The math isn’t that hard and they can do it themselves to prove a round earth. There are a few simple experiments they can do to prove it. They consciously choose to ignore everything and believe something provably incorrect.

If someone is mentally deficient, or had a learning disability, that’s one thing. I’m not talking about these people. I’m talking about the flat earther type (or anti-vax, or tribalism MAGA nut) who chooses to go against simple science.

100%. If I were American (I’m not), in my American home (also not), on American soil (again not) and the government decided I was too woke and wanted to deport me to a deathcamp out of country, I’d definitely choose the Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid ending.

In fact, if this were happening in my town I might choose to go out slowly picking off as many ICE, government and police in their homes first.

The videos I’ve seen the ICE agents are in street clothes. They aren’t wearing uniforms, no badges, nothing to indicate they’re official agents at all.

If these people show up at night, I’d say open fire. They look like any other gang member.

But if you want to renounce your US citizenship you still have to jump through a shitton of red tape and pay $2,350 USD - and they STILL might deny the request to renounce.
