As you already said, it’s caused by parents that don’t give you a safe and living emotional environment in early childhood.

If you want sync to your phone, just set up a VPN. Now your phone and mobile computer can always access your services. I use SoGO, it has calendar hosting, authenticated sync which you can use with davx on android and the web interface is basic but usable. You can also enable mail, tasks and contact sync all in one.

There is a reason sick people are in a location where people are close by to be able to react fast if shit hits the fan. What are you gonna do when you see your cat not moving at her favorite spot for too long? When are you gonna be sure she needs help? Then you call someone close by that needs 20 min to get there? And then another 30 to get to a vet? Does someone have a key to you apartment? Are they authorized to spend whatever at the vet?

Keep your ass at home and save the money until your cat is healthy again. Or give her into care so she is safe and not alone like any social animal like cats should not be for extended periods of time.

The future of Foss is in corporate time donations for projects that are useful for them. Open software collaboration is one hell of an efficiency gain. Whenever me or my colleagues have dead time I ask them to work on improving open source projects. It’s just a few days every few months but it adds up. Also we like to fix bugs in Foss software that affects our customers as we usually fix and upstream them and can bill that to the customer. So the company gets played, the worker gets payed and open source gets funding. No more sole maintainers for life that don’t have money to heat their homes because nobody donates. :)

Not to be that person, but most people forget that the net worth oft these people is not liquid. They can not just wave a magic wand and give people money.

It’s usually in shares of their very highly valued company which they can’t give up because they wouldl give up control. Billionaires are not about money, they are about power.

What keeps you in power does not align with doing good. Thus the giving pledge exists, it allows giving away the money while you don’t lose control in your lifetime.

Most billionaires do some kind of philanthropy. Gotta control where the money they would pay in taxes ends up. Even this is about power.

Their survival bias makes them believe that they know best what’s good for the world. Taxing them would just increase their philanthropy, which is a good thing even though not perfect. Let’s start somewhere.

American politics is all about the warchest of a politician. So any politician is buyable. So if you spend enough money you tend to get what you want. Which, surprise, ends in a aristocracy of rich people.

Rspamd for anti spam and dkim. Use a free email testing service to confirm SPF etc are setup correctly.
