What kind of cost is that?

I get where they’re coming from. Moderating a huge online presence where people can make posts about things is difficult and costly. But… It’s their platform and they’re in charge of it. So… It kinda sounds like they have to.

For most people, why get a nuc when you can get a laptop? Nuc fills a niche.

Fair, but for lemmy to truly take off, people need to be actively posting and commenting. If people don’t have interest in that, lurkers won’t come.
