No it doesn’t change anything for lifetime pass.
Maybe it will in a few years, but not today.

Maintenance day is when I log into my server once every 3 month because I forgot it (as everything is working fine).
But I just discovered OpenSuse microOS, while looking at the docs for my laptop Thumbleweed, and now I want to try it with no real reasons. Maybe it is just an excuse to buy a new Raspberry pi.
Also, air traffic controller here with most of my mates being airliners pilots.
We are all tired and alcoholic, it’s even worse among the ground staff at airports.
Good luck on your next holiday 😘
From memory cause I haven’t smoke in 20 years, it’s mostly about filter.
Cigarette have industrial made filters that are solid and doesn’t heat that much.
Joint have hand made filters generally made with a bit of rolled cardboard or the tip of a cigarette (opposite side from the filter). Both makes the joint less sturdy than a cigarette, the filter is less wide and the heat is more easily transferred.
When you hold it like a cigarette between your index and middle finger it touches your fingers where the skin is the thinnest, so it burns you more easily, specially when you are close to the end of smoking.
Then there’s maybe a psychological side, cannabis is illegal or frowned upon in many places, so hiding your joint inside your palm makes it less noticeable (except for the smell of course, I didn’t say it was logical).
Musk calling Wozniak a loser on shitter in 3, 2, 1…
Bans are for adults, you gets sent to your room.
Some do, full flaps and uncomfortable high pitch (well, no flaps in that picture as it is a Mirage).
Of course there are probably certain types of jets that cannot fly below 150kt and it’s not like actual fighters capabilities are advertised on internet. I only know that Rafale is said to go “below 120kt” with 16 degrees pitch up in 15 tons configuration, FA-18 is something like 135kt at pitch 30 ! (I’d love to see a picture of that)
I liked the Las Vegas TV series from 2005.
Probably full of stereotypes but I was young at the time and really enjoyed seing the work done by the Montecito security team. Also, plenty of beautiful ladies making teenager me happy.
We need Lieutenant Aldo Raine back on duty (Brad Pitt in Inglorious Basterds)
*god damn it, it sucks to be right.*
I’m starting to feel the same way. When I was a teenager (more than 20 years ago) I wrote a short science fiction story. Being awesome with titles I simply named it “USA is the new nazi”.
Well, fuck.
I work on the apple ecosystem too, but it came from my tests of making an hackinstosh on an old Lenovo.
It then discovered that I could use the same tools with the same shell language, doing the same tiling WM etc etc, all of that on an always working OS that I didn’t need to debug when shit got wrong (I was using Arch, BTW).
From then on I always work on 2nd hand refurbished macs. My daily desk tool in an m2 Mac mini and this thing is amazing. Linux is now only present on my server and gaming PC.
But maps are on organic maps, not apple 😉
FFS, today when you look for something on start page or any search engine you get YouTube links or AI shit from non related websites.
At the time you could put Reddit on your search but we all know that won’t be a solution anymore, plus, because of people like me most of Reddit results are now a chain of deleted - deleted - deleted messages 😄
I really like the “thermal runaway thing” expression, and yeah it is a false equivalency but it’s a funny one.
EV charging and the tech around it can be slow today, but it doesn’t mean we should abandon and go back to what we know is working (as some people want to). This is a recipe for zero innovation and not the way to become a Star Trek like civilization.
In my city there are electric buses that charge in a few seconds at some stops along the route. No overhead wires, no big diesel engines and no noise.
We just need to work and improve those new vehicles, find better than the actual EV and combustion engines as well.
Just get rid of the fuel stations. It’s ridiculous that vehicles owners should expect to refuel their cars anywhere but at home or at work
Yeah ok… Clean them like any normal logical human being, aka by using common sense and stuff you already have at home. Or buy those non necessary cleaning kits!
Thanks wired.
We have (or had?) a bad English cursus at school, I don’t know if that changed as I have not be at school in a while.
A somewhat strong culture with enough to read, listen and watch 100% French content in a lifetime, so that doesn’t help. And a few remains of rebellion that does not help as well.
I believe the French dubbing industry is also known for its quality with plenty of talented voice actors. But I heard this from others, I usually consume cinema or tv in the original language.
You are right that it clearly does not help. I am always annoyed when I see a French speaker crying over Steam forums that x video game does not have a French traduction, just play it in English duh.
Anyway, we have a perfect dumb science excuse that we love: We cannot speak good English because of our native language frequency. That’s it, we can’t do shit about it, c’est la vie 🤷🏻♂️
Achually! Historians said it has been invented in Paris in 1789 and not in Belgium.
Belgium did import those after learning to make them from rotisserie “Chez Pèlerin” in Montmartre, with the success we all know.
But it seems fries are indeed French. Not that we care about that fact, we prefer eating “des frites belges” as everyone else, they taste better than freedom fries.
I speak perfect English and voluntarily keep my French accent cause it gets me laid.
Also because I’m too lazy to introduce myself or put the fucking emphasis at the correct place, but mostly because of the first reason.
Pet me like one of your French girls or else I will take all your food and money.
