To be fair… Not everyone is willing to risk it all and straight murder people, but still want to show their dissatsifaction with the system.

As a rich person you are fine to endanger the rest of the people on the road for a small fee. As a company it is fine to violate laws and rights of people for a small fee.

My friends hate the need to do this. It does just take a second to click into community / instance and block it and you won’t be bothered again but a lot of people can’t be bothered with that one second even and would rather have something simpler unfortunately
So you need to look at the number of de federations. That is basically how many other instances have blocked them and do not receive content from them to their feed. You can still go to all these instances using their respective urls and see what they are like. The reasons for blocking them vary depending on the instance. Edit: They can still be federated with other instances that don’t block them creating their own little fediverse bubbles.

Some may not have been in your lifetime but peaceful protests do get results. Outside of revolution all our civil rights around the world have been won through protest.
