With Synaptic, you can show all files associated with a package. That includes config files. Saved me a lot of hassle on numerous occasions.
With a project like that it’s simply impossible to estimate how long it’s going to take and what is going to cost because you don’t really have a clear idea of what you’re going to do in the first place.
You could look at the package that’s mentioned in the first line in Synaptic. The error message says it can’t find a file. Fürst thing is do is check if that fike is actually there.
