Yeah I agree with you there I’ve experienced the same, it’s almost always a Samsung with an OLED screen and curved edges, that gets dropped with a hard impact on one of the corners.
With my experience in repairing smartphones, I’ve found that those with curved edge displays are the most susceptible. I remember when the s7 edge launched, a ton of those phones got the green lines across the screen. So I’d imagine phones with folding screens are also more susceptible to this damage.
In the article, the two phones mentioned have either a curved edge or a folding screen. It seems that any curve or fold in the OLED display makes it easier to damage.

Samsung moving to four years of OS updates, and 5 years of security updates, is what pushed Google to adopt this new policy, as Google only offered 3 years of OS updates beforehand. So Samsung will probably try match Google again.

They also kill performance if you’re still using a hard drive as your system drive. I know we should all be using SSDs, it’s 2023, but sometimes it’s not always possible

Aside from sports subreddits, the content quality on the website has been trash for as long as I can remember. After the latest fiasco, you get a mixture of years old memes and incel nonsense like subreddits rating the attractiveness of random woman appearing on r/all and r/popular. The boosting of that last example, which I can only guess is an indirect consequence of the subreddit blackout, is honestly just gross.
Internet Explorer is still the best at messing up style definitions and CSS. Never seen anything like it.
Opera browser is the worst of the chromium based browsers in that regard I find.
I’ve tried it, looks cool, and using the flag “enable with selective inversion of non image elements” really helps eliminate all the issues with dark mode

Isn’t modern Edge chromium based? I’d understand using Edge back when it was using it’s own technology, as much as I hate Microsoft internet browsers, it allowed for optimisations such as better battery life on laptops. But using chromium based Edge, I don’t understand it at all. Who wants to use Microsoft flavoured chrome? Yuck.

Why would people switch to a browser in brave that tries to sell you some crypto currency and has its own ad network? Even if you want to use a chromium based browser because of issues with Firefox, there’s much better available out there.
To be honest the best chromium based browser I’ve used (when I’m forced to use a chromium based browser) is the Samsung internet one. It has a dark mode that actually works and protects my vampire eyes lol.
Never used brave because I heard all of the scammy ad network and crypto stuff years ago, immediately put me off it. Now learning that the creator probably hates me, it’s just another reason not to touch it.

Stenzek gets a ton of abuse from the emulation community that is undeserved. I remember when he made PlayStation 2 emulation on Android possible with AetherSX2 under another username/alias, a massive technological leap, and the community treated him like trash. Moves like this are just in response to the entitlement and poor behaviour that some people directed towards Stenzek. Yes it sucks for the rest of us who behave appropriately online, but none of this would be happening if others treated the guy with respect in the first place.
