The errors went away at boot, but nothing happens now, its just stuck. I just see the _ blinking that’s it. Going to try installing Arch and see if I can get it working better.
Libreboot nowadays would most likely still contain blobs in the BIOS, but not as much as regular Coreboot. I don’t know why you’re being downvoted lol. If Coreboot is supported, they can port it to Libreboot.
If they added Coreboot support, I would buy it just because of that. (Not 100% FOSS, but it’s still nice to have more control over your hardware)
Nextcloud with OnlyOffice?
A bit, it’s actually not too bad. Rarely any micro stuttering on ultra settings in RDR2, I am actually planning on buying the AMD 7900XTX graphics card to put in this machine. I want to run local LLMs on it, I’m not too much of a gamer as I used to be. Anyways, this thing rocks! I love it. Eventually, I’ll plan on buying a MSI Z690-A DDR5 motherboard and install Dasharo firmware onto it.
It can play all my games at 1440p and ultra settings (RDR2, GTA V, etc.) I’ve never had a time where I’ve wanted to upgrade from it. I built most of this computer for about $450-$500, all used parts I got off eBay plus some other parts that I pulled from my other computer
Libreboot Gaming Desktop
Libreboot Server
Libreboot Laptop
GrapheneOS Phone (100% FOSS in the OS layer)
LibreCMC Routers (100% Free Firmware/Software)
OpenWRT Network Switch
Yeah that’s pretty much my setup, don’t know if it’s really strange or not lol
Wondering too, since Docker has a non-root mode, is there a reason to use Podman?
Wireguard is super fast compared to OpenVPN
Same thing for me when I was 13. I freaked the fuck out when I saw a wikipedia article on the right. I thought I was going to jail the next day lmfao
We shouldn’t be mixing FOSS projects with proprietary communication platforms. There are a lot of FOSS enthusiasts who want their setup to be entirely free and open, including Discord into the mix basically goes against the whole philosophy.
Is it really that bad? I haven’t had any issues torrenting stuff with Mullvad, although I usually don’t torrent files above like 20GB
I want to clarify that the patch I submitted was a work in progress. On two separate occasions, I sought guidance regarding when to submit it and was instructed to wait for a week. The understanding was that Leah and I would continue working on it during the following week. Unfortunately, the patch got accidentally closed during that waiting period.
My communication was bad and I understand that I need to do better. The comment Leah made about being ‘too slow’ contradicts the circumstances, as I followed the guidance to wait for input during the specified timeframe.
Until someone makes you wait on purpose just so they can take all the credit for the project you were working on, bet you would feel the same way I do.
Literally, and I’ve seen people glorifying that Elon’s Xitter is a ‘free speech’ platform. It’s not even the closest thing to that. It’s a proprietary application where Musk can control whatever he wants and push any kind of narrative that he wants.
NanoPi R2C has 1 gigabit speeds and you can run LibreCMC with little to no blobs :)
It is a Ethernet only router though, no WiFi.
This was the issue! I enabled SMT and set my CPU cores on the VM from 4 to 8 cores and it fixed it. Thank you so much for the advice!
Do you have link still? I’m interested in what it was lol
Thank you for the information!
I do have Libreboot on all my computers, my T1700 MT is currently Librebooted, that’s the server I’m planning on using this card with. I wonder, since the firmware is nearly entirely open, we can possibly support it then, no?
