  • If only. That comes out to nearly all Republicans and around a third of Democrats. I could totally see 30% of Democrats being in favor of mass deportations.

    First line of the article

Most U.S. adults (9 in 10 Republicans and close to half of Democrats) say they support mass deportations of immigrants living in the country illegally

You gotta remember that the “They’re taking our jobs” and “They’re getting our tax money” propaganda has been pervasive in America for decades. And they don’t, actively or passively, want to know about the realities of the lives of undocumented immigrants in the US. They don’t want to read the studies or know the data. Feelings don’t care about the facts.

  • Jesus Christ, so many people don’t know the real history of what happened while this is the real answer.

To add on to Ronald “Fucking” Reagan defunding universities, he did it because as governor of California he absolutely hated the anti-Vietnam War protests happening on University of California campuses and thought a good way to limit attendance of ‘rabble rousing’ (re: poor) students was to take away their funding. Conservatives nationwide saw this and thought ‘that’s great, we should do that, too.’ and they did.

Thanks Ronnie. You’re the unwanted microwaved dog shit that ruined America 40 years and your stink is still smelled in full force to this day. I didn’t believe in hell, but I hope they made a special one just for you.

  • The federal judge presiding over the church’s bankruptcy, Meredith Grabill, at one point ruled that the seal on case-related information was so sacrosanct that it could not be lifted even with respect to Hecker and his potential crimes. In reaching that decision, Grabill said she intended to “destroy any [sealed] information that this court received” while litigating the issue about whether Hecker deserved to benefit from the bankruptcy’s secrecy.

What the actual hell is wrong with people?! Let’s not forget that the Southern Baptist Church released an incomplete list of its child abusing priests. Incomplete not because they didn’t know names, but because it wanted to protect them.

And conservatives say LGBT+ people are groomers and abusers. Never let them forget who the real predators are, where are they more likely to stay hidden and be protected.

  • Hegseth’s attorney said a payment was made to the woman as part of a confidential settlement a few years after the police investigation because Hegseth was concerned that she was prepared to file a lawsuit that he feared could have resulted in him being fired from Fox News, where he was a popular host. The attorney would not reveal the amount of the payment.

Well… that says a lot all on its own. Why the hell do they keep picking people who are not normal!

  • Tania Cepero López, a faculty union leader, isn’t a caricature of a leftist university professor. An English instructor at Florida International University, she has voted for Republicans and is married to a conservative Republican.

She has watched in horror in recent years, she said, as she saw the same government interference into education in the United States that she experienced in her native Cuba.

I hope Tania and her husband learned something from this. Who am I kidding, they’ll probably support and vote for Republicans down ballot and wonder why things are getting worse. Good luck to the students of conservative run states.
