I worked for a year 6-6 12h shifts on 24/7 assembly line.
It was OK, 14 days night and 14 day shifts it is better that way because you get used to it and you still have loads of time left for other things.

Please don’t, I trust that there are people who would appreciate them but just not enough to pay bills.
As a dude no, just because I don’t think that I would make enough to justify it.
Some mastodon instance has it covered already. https://eigenmagic.net/@daedalus/113519360107067092
Our community !homebrewing@sopuli.xyz has for now everything beer, wine, cider… it didn’t reach the point of creating another specific, niche community. So I totally get the niche interests aren’t represented here yet and the number of homebrewers is big.
Still we get good engagement for lemmy and there are active people from industry, so I wouldn’t call it exactly small.
To be fair, how long it took Michaelsoft to support ARM? What else to ship it with? BSD, IOS…
Yes for the basic thing most people buy it and it is this fucked up. Also it uses Google maps, they are bit useless for cycling.
I have more mapping apps and all of them have offline planning.
Sorry not native speaker, thanks for correction.
Thanks I give it a try, problem for me is that I need to plan route and then put it in cyclocomputer. I don’t need any other bs.
I would like to find alternative to Garmin app. It is bad if you don’t want to use the cloud features, also you can’t plan routes without internet connection like wtf that’s the only reason I bought it for.
It is nice app but the problem is it doesn’t show Czech hiking and cycling routes by default. I didn’t figured out how to enable them.
I am glad that you like it. It would be nice to have little more traffic but post quality is more important so I can’t complain.
Shamelessly promoting my community again: !homebrewing@sopuli.xyz
It averages about 1 post per week but it certainly isn’t dead.
Week ago I listened to a podcast about history of misinformation and censorship in first republic Czechoslovakia.
And tldr of it is that we didn’t learn anything - they wanted to regulate sale of newspapers and everyone listened radio.
I think there is big parallel the discussion about censorship was same, and when it was implemented it wasn’t effective. Be it Russian propaganda or some other affairs.
From some more articles I grasped that it is shady. Some lobbying groups, secret commissions and stuff like that. They try really hard to not be the ones to point fingers at.
I think that there are more issues like archaic connectors and stuff like that. You can’t find new hardware with 30yo standard io.
The oldest version of Win I used was 95 about 2 years ago on chromatography machine (I think hplc or gas).
It is to my knowledge still in use in the school because the software don’t run on newer machines. The teacher told me that he don’t know what will he do when it dies. It isn’t really an issue on Linux.
It will be probably more. I talked with sysadmin from some smaller provider in my country few months ago. And he told me that the migration will take them for most systems about 2 years (depreciation of hardware) and for some machines about 5 years.
So lot of customers are in process of replacing it but it will take multiple years.
It is in my opinion too big to join now as a new user, I think there are some issues with moderation also.
Fediverse needs to scale horizontally so it is bad idea to join the largest server.
