I disagree. DMs are most certainly a core use-case. I would argue that it’s a part in parcel feature for any group/voice chat app. DMs have been a standard feature in every major voice/video app, group or otherwise, for over 25 years.

I’m might be being dense but… Still: why would an optional feature be a dealbreaker? You just restated, you didn’t address the confusing logic.
Just donated. You should too.
I love donating to Wikipedia because there’s so few FREE things anymore, and it’s one that benefits every single person on the planet.
I had an Apple Watch for a while. I used it to track my steps and workouts and to monitor some notifications. Once in forever I’d pick up a call on it because my hands were full.
Eventually I realized I never actually DID anything with the fitness info, the notifications were annoying and stressful, and the times I’d use it as a communicator I could count on one hand.
When the battery finally started dying I couldn’t justify the expense of a new one.
The thing actively made my life worse!
This is precisely the reason I’ve been using LLM so often. Finding what I want on Google or DDM has become too time consuming. I’m sure the answer is on there but I’m not willing to take the time to scroll through all of the BS ads, spam content, AI written garbage. Why should I?
