What? I Google stuff all the time. Just not on Google (DuckDuckGo or Qwant)

It would be annoying, but to be fair, it’s the Mac Mini, which is small and easy to pick up. I would guess you could just tip the corner up to press the button.
I still think it’s a dumb design. It’s going to confuse everyday users
Meetups and clubs based around certain interests have worked well for me.
Examples: writing clubs, chess clubs, book clubs, hiking clubs, debate clubs, etc.
I have trouble at parties where I have to find things to talk about with people I don’t know, but at interest clubs then we’re all there for the same purpose and there’s a clear thing to talk about! If you hit it off with anyone, then you can begin hanging out outside of the club
I’ve just downloaded the Cosmic Store, it looks fantastic, thank you!
Thanks for your reply. Here are my specs and I’ve added them to the post:
- Motherboard: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. X570S GAMING X
- RAM: 32 GiB
- CPU: AMD® Ryzen 9 5900x 12-core processor × 24
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti
I’m not sure what dkms
is but I just Googled it and it looks like it’s related to AMD, is that right? I have an NVIDIA GPU so it might not be relevant.
I ran sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade
like you suggested and then tried updating some components while doing something in my browser. It seems promising so far, thanks! I’ll need to do more updates to know for sure though
I’m not entirely sure how ad blockers work, but my understanding was they prevent things loading from certain URLs. If the ads are embedded into the video, then there’s no ad-specific URL to block
While the overall video would be a different length, video players often don’t count the ads towards the media time. So the deep links should be okay
It also doesn’t have an algorithm, which would make it difficult to find content you want when there are loads of creators
I think they’re referring to video games. AAA games refer to games made by large companies with huge budgets: think Assassin’s Creed, GTA, Call of Duty, etc.
They’ve been pumping out some trash games for the last while
That’s a great idea. And you get more content!
Oh interesting, thanks for adding the info. I bought it from Amazon myself but when linking to products and stuff I always use the website as it’s the official source of information and people can then navigate to their preferred retailer of choice to buy it
I’ve been using the JSAUX dock since the end of 2022 and have had no issues. Lots of ports which is nice. I recommend it
What’s wrong with people having it easy if they’re not exploiting others?
I opened the article planning to dislike it, and I do dislike the man’s voice (the woman’s voice sounds quite good though), but then I thought about it. Sports announcers actually seem like a decent use for AI. I would imagine that it would be incredibly difficult to build decent announcers from pre-recorded voice lines… It’s heavily context-dependent, and this way it can even read out the team names, which I imagine are chosen by the teams. I think this could possibly work well. I don’t see how to create a system like this without AI
I’m using a 3440x1440 monitor and have no resolution problems on Pop!_OS. I’m not a Linux power user or anything so I probably can’t help diagnose the problem but just letting you know that that’s not a universal experience
Can’t dislike songs you already like!
Surely it can’t be worse than Truth Social or Rumble… I’m assuming they mean mainstream platforms
This reminds me of the XBOX 720 memes from back in the day where the console was a sphere or some shit
Same. Tried Linux Mint years ago on my laptop, but had weird Bluetooth issues with my headphones and keyboard, so stopped using it. Recently put Pop!_OS on my gaming rig and it works perfectly! I’m not a power user, and mainly just use Firefox & Steam. A couple windows programs I’ve been able to use with Lutris. I’m super happy with it
There are still subreddits though, they’re just called communities
