governments and politicians got their hands on it
lemmy.world it’s not “lemmy”
This gives out the impression they don’t care about lemmy being open source and decentralized but rather they are at it for a piece of the cake
Not the case for AI. We are at the beginning of a new era
Nuclear power is also a technology for a stable civilization not one ruled by corrupted politicians that play war with each others

The world can’t be better if the plan is to make things worst (planned obsolescence). Feeding these who got us there is not a solution to the problem
I would prefer using renewable sources and cutting off the useless shit like private jets
EEE what this guy company motto for a while
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embrace%2C_extend%2C_and_extinguish
We don’t need more nuclear power to mitigate the climate disaster we need to stop endless consumerism and strip of power these who got us here.
Embrace, extend, and extinguish. Don’t trust anything this guy does, nuclear power is a gateway to power and building a monopoly on energy
Musk is an unreliable partner to any government.
Doubt that or he wouldn’t be where he is at
Same on many linux distros but without having to enter a license key
Some linux distros are also damn easy to install, easier than windows just try for yourself
I have a hard time believing you are a daily linux user
4k120 must be really important for you if you are willing to sacrifice all your privacy and security for it
Linux already replaced windows for any serious task
On some linux distros the only thing you have to press is “yes”. Sounds easier to me than having to press “no” for 10 minutes
Compared to same linux distros, it is.
Reddit mods also work for free as volunteers. Don’t underestimate internet popularity and power over communities, not so many days ago there were stories about mastodon instances admins getting invited for talks at meta. Lemmy is an open source and decentralized alternative to reddit, using discord for announcements misses the whole point
