Old Amazon Kindle was amazing, I read tons of books on it. New Kindle was so clunky to get books on it, set up different accounts, constantly suspicious you were up to something. A totally non-intuitive piece of shit. Amazon design has all the charm of their warehouses.

The only good planned obsolescence is the people uniting in an effort to make all these tech billionaires obsolete.

I hope people don’t target allies. Brand loyalty and brand avoidance are just ways of convincing people that ethical consumption is the way to affect change. If that was true, America would be the number one recycler in the world, with the cleanest air and cleanest rivers. Letting people decide what is best with their wallets is a joke. Force these corporations to heel, we do not need to make good choices with our money, we need to use government agencies to remove all the terrible options.

And the microcontrollers to control the microplastics.

Maybe, but relationships between the American and Canadian military are way too entrenched, even if it was a direct order, it’s pretty hard to suddenly point your weapons at someone who’s been a dedicated ally. Though I won’t blame Canadians for being more than a little pissed for quite some time, I just don’t see how this would actually happen.

Because you can’t really invade a place full of white people like Greenland or Canada. Even the diehard Trump fans would probably not be okay with that. I guess I’m pretty suspicious of all states and the control they exert over the average person to use that metric. It’s my opinion that if democracy worked, it’d be illegal (or subverted by a CIA-backed coup).

It looks like they have a team and it’s open-source. It’s a gamble, but I’m guessing the death of Firefox would probably be a boon, not a hinderance, depending on who supports what from there.

I’ll be honest, outside of tabs, I can’t think of much that has improved with browsers in the past few years.

Been using Libre Wolf, no issues so far. Fuck Firefox

That’s funny, I’m an American who literally argued with a German why Schwarze Pete (Black Pete) being a thing in the Netherlands, a country that heavily dealt in the slave trade, serving as a servant for Santa, and encouraging a form a black face… maybe a little racist?

Germans really like to analyze American politics, but mention nuclear power or Palestine and you see there’s a lot more in common than different.
