I have no experience nor done any research into this topic but I would think that a gun to the temple is easier to mess up resulting in either a slow death or a non-lethal shot with a life altering disability or disfigurment.

Gun in the mouth is more guaranteed a kill shot. Under the chin would probably be even more guaranteed. Just be sure to aim up and not back.

He should quickly blanket pardon himself so the Republicans push to codify that a president cannot pardon himself.

Then he should arrest and seize the property of all members of the opposition party under some BS national security claim. The Supreme Court has already granted immunity for this sort of actions by presidents so no need for another pardon.

I am starting to think about that Trump just learned what a tariff is during this election cycle. Still has no idea how they work, what their purpose is, when they should be used, nor how they impact local and global economies but, gosh darn it, if he isn’t excited to show off his new knowledge.

Have you tried taking it anywhere that requires a transfer? Last time I saw, all transfers required going to Union Station. Doesn’t matter if that is the opposite direction of where you want to go. Union Station is (or was) the only option if you were not traveling in a straight line.

All of my knowledge on Los Angeles public transit is about 15 years old. I really do hope that they have improved since then.

I am also just talking about just the Metro rail system. I never attempted any other public transit options in LA.

That city has one of the most dysfunctional and impractical public transit systems I have ever known. Admittedly, I have not experienced many, but it is bad enough for me to believe the conspiracy theory that car manufacturers have influenced city leaders to ensure that cars are mandatory.

This sounds like you are promoting an “I’m right, your wrong, and I have no responsibility to correct or educate.” mentality. I’m not sure if trusting the people with opposing views to change on their own is the best approach. I think only deepens divides and entrenches opposition.

People with opposing ideas do exist in a vacuum and will have no problem putting the time in to recruiting others to their way of thinking and promoting similar thinkers to positions of power and influence. Ostracizing those you disagree can just as easily put you in a bubble of isolation, or an echo chamber, as them.

Not to mention that discussing opposing ideas improves understanding both by defending your views and by better understanding the why and origins of their ideas.

I just don’t get it. That money has already been spent or guaranteed for the current leases. It’s a sunk cost either way. If they end up not needing it that office space then, once those leases are up, that become a cost saving and improve the bottom line of corporate profits right?

Only thing I can think of is that a a considerable percentage of upper management are getting kick backs by property owners who can see what WFH policies mean to their business model, or there are a lot of managers that don’t know how to evaluate employee performance based on their deliverables.
