I was just making an abstract sci-fi joke based on how cold fusion has been presented like a Holy Grail in the past. Obviously a better source of energy isn’t going to solve all our problems, no matter how good it is.
Lost some. Won some.

Maybe if it runs longer, we all get to jump to a better timeline. 😅
Yeah, it’s probably those conflicts of interest I had in mind.
I could have sworn at least 3 of the companies he pretends to run were under investigation by different agencies.
Actually they fully allow the sale of explicit Nazi merch at Shopify. They just came up with a vaguely plausible excuse to get rid of Kanye’s store specifically. The execs at Shopify are outspoken extreme right wingers. These are guys get along well with the Proud Boys (which is considered a terrorist group in Canada).
Thanks for the heads up. Was it in this same community? (I’ll check here for now.)
I’m sure we all have suspicions about them but I want to know what their excuse is, especially considering the dangerous (for them) possibility their jobs could come to an end if Trump solidifies the level of power he obviously wants to have.
It’s hard to understand how dismissive they’re being when their own constituents are reaching out to them. Is this article leaving it out or have they given some sort of rationale for choosing their battles instead of going all out?
After the Trump administration warned federal employees of “adverse consequences” for not reporting colleagues resisting orders to eliminate diversity, equity and inclusion programs, citizens began submitting false reports to the special email account: DEIAtruth@opm.gov. Here’s one example: “A man named Donald Trump is doing affirmative action for billionaires and oligarchs against the mandate to stop hiring minority groups.”
A commenter after my own heart. 😄
Now there’s a creative argument for meditation.
I thought the tech for imitating voices was already essentially available. There are cases of fraud that have been based on this.
You probably just have to oppose H1B visas.
*editing to add - the hate for (both Gazans and) Israel probably hurts Musk right now as well.
Autistic people aren’t born spoiled or privileged and certainly don’t all have entitlement issues. Let’s not treat Autism as an insult please.
This horrible for sure, but it’s worth noting they just made it so there are no on-paper repercussions for industry poisoning people. Poor people in rural areas have been getting poisoned (and/or driven from their homes) all along. Major media and unfortunately even EPA officials (as we saw for East Palestine) seem to just ignore or bury it most of the time, similar to the treatment environmental activists have reported when there’s an oil spill/leak and media don’t want to touch it. Here’s the latest example I’ve heard about recently. (I’m not specifically trying to follow this stuff incidentally, but I’m always interested in who corporate media tend to ignore or treat unfairly.)
Yeah. I don’t know how successful it might be, but it might be similar to Trump suing all the media corporations for daring to be critical of him.
Don’t forget that “at first,” a certain privileged group may have been freer, but not everyone.
I meant before elections come (and that’s assuming they don’t find a way to undermine those as well). All I can think of is how Michelle Obama quoted MLK Jr. and said to honour his legacy by getting involved in local community, honouring the other important day of the year that it was, rather than commenting on the inauguration directly.
😢 I’d guess trans women and all unhoused people could be the first casualties, potentially involving cheap prison labour within the US to replace externally detained migrants. Why is it so easy to think of worst case scenarios but so hard to think of ways to stop this?
Take every drug you need.
