I disagree. I think there’s a lot of people living in a fantasy. Things cost money. You can’t rely on good will to pay for developers, engineers, and hardware.

i think the idea is that when there is a gap, there is more likelihood for little things to get in there in your pocket and scratch things up. also, the gapless design doesnt mean it is usually screen directly on screen, but the outside border touch and close fully allowing no dirt to get in

so i havent had many apps that didnt play nice. but i dont use too many apps like instagram or anything. the worse culprit ive had is tik tok but then all you need to do is rotate the screen and it mostly solves that issue
