I think it’s ironic that Trump and Musk are trying to implement the kind of shock that might wake someone up and bring them around. If nothing else, they are making clear the absurdity of Government and the contradiction that we call democracy. I think there’s something hideously ironic there.

But that is not to say that I deny the pain and suffering of those who suffer from any kind of disability.

I think this is because Trump realised that we’re all disabled. We’re all disabled by the social norms and conditioning that surround us. No one is intrinsically disabled; we are only made to suffer disability by the unreasonable expectations placed upon us from outside.

Trump it taking us one step closer towards waking up.

Sounds like you are fed up of the poor quality circus coverage that passes for mainstream media news.

Perhaps you can find some better quality news and consume it at a time and place of your choosing? Maybe limit it to 10 minutes a day or a week?

It is understandable that you might turn to apathy having the news equivalent of highly processed, poor quality fast food shovelled into your face all the time; especially given how powerless to change these things we can feel. But you may be able to take back some control of your media diet.

I think the difference in nomenclature may be down to how close the actions are to affecting real change.

Your brain is constantly processing the inputs from all of your senses and pretty much ignoring them if they fit with what it is already expecting.

Your brain is lazy. If everything seems to fit with what your brain expects then you believe that what you are seing is reality and you generally ignore it.

Generally the mind only focuses on what it believes is salient/interesting/unexpected.
